Allens to pull out of Bangkok and Phnom Penh?
There is a lot of buzz that Allens Arthur Robinson will close its Bangkok and Phnom Penh offices by the end of the year, with RollOnFriday, reporting that the firm has ‘refused to deny’ the rumours. Allens has run its Bangkok branch in association with local firm Siam Premier International Law Office for nearly 13 years, and the Phnom Penh office has been going for over ten years. But the closure of these established bases, if indeed it comes to pass, will represent a re-focussing of resources in Singapore rather than a withdrawal from Asia.
