US securities firm Jefferies Group hires new GC from WilmerHale
New York securities firm Jefferies Group Inc has hired Michael J Sharp as general counsel. Sharp leaves the partnership at WilmerHale to join the company, where he has also taken on the roles of executive vice president and secretary. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rich Handler said that Sharp “brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Jefferies at this critical time of ongoing growth and change for our firm and our industry.”
