Britain's top 100 firms see revenues rise by 5%
According to latest figures, Britain’s 100 biggest law firms saw revenue increase by an average of 5 per cent for the last quarter, despite continued uncertainty in the economy. According to accounting firm Deloitte, the increase is due to higher rates and more billable hours in the three-month period ending 31 July, compared with a year earlier. Deloitte’s survey shows that the UK’s top 10 firms had smaller average increase of 3.7 percent. “The general uncertainty over the economy means that for many firms there is a considerable degree of nervousness as to how the rest of the year will pan out,” Jeremy Black, a partner at Deloitte in London, said in the statement.
