Barclays poaches top talent Erica Handling from Ashurst

Barclays Capital has hired Ashurst head of securities and structured finance Erica Handling, appointing her to the role general counsel. Ashurst senior partner Charlie Geffen said: “Over 10 years at the firm Erica has played a leading role in developing our finance practice and I want to thank her for her exceptional skill, dedication and effort.” It has been reported that international finance partner Chris Georgiou will take over as the head of the securities and structured finance group at Ashurst.
