US firm Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle has boosted its Middle East practice with the hire of Mary Allan as head of the firm’s energy and infrastructure practice in Oman. Allan leaves a role as head of infrastructure and projects at Denton Wilde Sapte's Oman office. Curtis's Muscat managing partner Bruce Palmer commented: "Mary's hire is part of a long-term strategy of the firm to grow its projects, energy and infrastructure practice. "Mary has extensive experience in these sectors regionally, particular in power and water, and is a real Middle East and particularly Oman specialist, having lived and worked in the region for over nineteen years. We will be growing in leaps and bounds in the coming months to meet the high level of activity being currently seen in the region."
