US firm Adorno & Yoss loses founding partner to suspension

Adorno & Yoss, one of South Florida’s largest law firms, will be changing its letterhead, after co-founder Hank Adorno was suspended from practice and resigned from the firm. The firm will henceforth be known as Yoss LLP. The Florida Supreme Court ordered Adorno’s suspension on Friday, and ordered him to show cause why he should not be suspended for three years or disbarred. The disciplinary action comes in response to complaints that Adorno sold out Miami city residents in a class action settlement over a lawsuit challenging the city’s fire fee. Managing Partner George Yoss said: “Although we continue to be supportive of co-founder Hank Adorno during this time, our priorities are client service and the day-to-day operation of the firm without interruption”.
