Thirteen lawyers defect from Dewey & LeBoeuf to Katten Muchin Rosenman

November 3, 2010 The former co-chair of Dewey & LeBoeuf’s structured finance group, Christopher DiAngelo, is leaving the firm to join Katten Muchin Rosenman’s New York office. He will be followed by a team of at least 12 other lawyers.

DiAngelo said the that the opportunity “just came along,” adding that “Dewey is an amazing firm and excellent place, but [Katten] chairman Vince Sergi made a very persuasive case. It is a young, stable, and financially sound place that was interested in growing in New York.”

A spokesman for Dewey & LeBoeuf said: “We wish this group well in their future endeavors and thank them for their contributions during their time with the firm”.
