Court Increases Jury Award in a Snowmobile Accident Case

Recently, the judge in a snowmobile accident case in Morris County increased the jury verdict 10 times. Superior Court Judge Robert Brennan increased to $1 million a $100,000 pain-and-suffering award in a product liability suit over a snowmobile accident that caused the plaintiff his leg. Judge Brennan found the $100,000 reward a jury mistake and that $1 million was the lowest fare unreasonable amount. Brian gave the defendant Yamaha motor Company 20 days to accept the increase or face a retrial of damages. See Mohr v. Yamaha Motor Company, MOR-L-2068-07.
