Latham confirms ambitious Gulf push
Latham & Watkins has officially unveiled plans to open up in the Middle East, which will see the US giant take the bold step of launching three offices in the region. The 2,100-lawyer firm intends to open in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, as well as in Doha, Qatar. Approval for the three offices is expected to come through before the summer. Latham has chosen corporate partner Rindala Beydoun, who it recently hired from the Dubai branch of Texas-based practice Vinson & Elkins, to serve as local managing partner.
