Winston & Strawn partner apologises for short skirt comment

A Winston & Strawn partner found himself in the centre of an angry mob of female lawyers after complaining to a journalist about their inappropriate dress. W&S's DC managing partner, Thomas Mills, was discussing the tricky issue of legal attire. He mentioned that his firm had brought in a personal shopper to show new associates how to dress. Apparently, one should avoid the "TV-woman lawyer look with skirts 12 inches above the knee and very tight blouses... they have trouble sitting and getting into taxis".
