Indian Bar Council Member arrested for bribe

Following arrests of a Bar Council of India (BCI) Member Rajendra Singh Rana, on charges of bribery and issuing false certification on behalf of the BCI to a Ghaziabad Law College whose Advisory Board Member Manish Tyagi was also arrested alongside on Monday night, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was also attacked by a mob during an ongoing raid at Rana’s residence. The Bar Council of India has laid down that a law college to impart legal education, has to obtain a certification from the BCI authorities.
