UK firm Weightmans to acquire parts of Vizards Wyeth

Vizards Wyeth is set to be acquired by national UK law firm Weightmans, according to reports. Employees at the 19-partner firm have been informed that only some parts of the business are likely to be retained, and a number of jobs are at risk. RollOnFriday quotes an anonymous source as saying that many staff "see this as the equity partners finding a quick way of getting out of the problems they have caused at the cost of their employees' jobs. Not the best Christmas present."
