Allen & Overy and Linklaters lead sale of part of RBS's project finance portfolio

Allen & Overy and Linklaters have taken leading roles on the sale of a part of RBS’s £3bn project finance portfolio to Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. A&O advised Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International on the purchase of loans, related assets and associated derivatives. A&O provided a team led by Tokyo banking partner Aled Davies, who was assisted by London partners Stephen Mathews and Tim Arnheim. Linklaters advised RBS with a led by banking partner Benedict James and projects partner Andrew Jones.
