Karnataka CJ declares assets and 20 judges follow suit
Karnataka High Court Chief Justice has set the ball rolling by being the first Chief Justice to disclose his assets and liabilities on the Karnataka High Court’s website. Following him, 20 judges of the Karnataka High Court have now submitted particulars of their assets in sealed envelopes to the Court Registrar, reports the Times of India. The DNA reports that as per the declarations made by Justice Khehar, he has Rs. 74 lakh cash deposits in various banks. Justice Khehar also makes it clear that the assets and liabilities declared were owned by him before his elevation as judge and after that he has been receiving only the salary and perks.
