Morrison & Foerster announces spring bonuses

February 10, 2011 Morrison & Foerster has announced its spring bonuses for associates. Non-New York associates are set to see bonuses that loosely follows the Cravath, Swaine & Moore scale, adjusted for a range of performance factors. The bonus range and average bonus payment for each class year are as follows:

• 2009: $7,500 – $15,000, $12,487
• 2008: $7,500 – $45,000, $16,842
• 2007: $10,000 – $55,000, $23,865
• 2006: $10,000 – $55,000, $22,579
• 2005: $15,000 – $60,000, $32,698
• 2004: $15,000 – $60,000, $32,597
• 2003: $20,000 – $65,000, $44,556
• 2002: $20,000 – $65,000, $41,636

In addition, a special bonus ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 will to be paid to associates with Efficient Legal Service Hours in excess of 2500.

New York Associates will have to wait to find out the size of their spring bonuses, as the firm delays an announcement until they get an idea of what other firms in the New York market are going to do.
