Edwards Angell merges with Washington DC firm Fleischman and Harding

International law firm Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge has announced a merger with Washington DC-based Fleischman and Harding. The precise terms of the merger agreement are not known, but the 12 attorneys at communications law firm Fleischman and Harding will be joining EAPD at its Washington offices. Stephen Meredith, partner in EAPD's business law department, said: "The merger came about as a logical outgrowth of the practice of both firms," adding: "While we do the corporate work on dozens of communications industry deals every year, we have never been able to offer FCC regulatory expertise, which is handled almost exclusively by lawyers based in Washington, D.C."
