Washington firm Sidley Austin hires former congressman
Top Washington DC firm Sidley Austin has announced the hire of former Democratic congressman from Virginia, Frederick “Rick” Boucher, who will lead the firm’s new government strategies group. The group will serve as strategic counsel to clients seeking government solutions to business problems. Boucher served 14 terms in Congress before losing the electoral race last November to Republican Morgan Griffith. Thomas Cole, chairman of the firm’s executive committee, said: “Rick has earned the respect of Democrats and Republicans alike for his intelligent approach to complex technology and energy issues and the even-handed leadership he displayed in the crafting of pivotal legislation.”
