Allens reduces trainee intake by 25%

RollOnFriday has reported that Allen & Overy has reduced its trainee intake by 25 per cent since the peak in 2008. In 2008 the firm took on 120 trainees a year, which fell to 105 this year and is set to fall again to just 90 by 2014. A spokesman for the firm said that the move is "market related", and added "London law firms used to enjoy 10% year-on-year growth; those days are probably over for the foreseeable future".
