Duane Morris set to launch shipping group in Singapore

Duane Morris & Selvam is set to launch a new shipping and maritime practice in Singapore after hiring two of the three senior partners from local maritime firm Navin & Co: Raghunath Peter Doraisamy and Colin Jarraw. Doraisamy and Jarraw have been appointed directors of the practice, alongside a third lateral hire – Prakash Nair of Haridass Ho and Partners. Corporate capacity in the Singapore office has also received a boost with the promotion of Singapore and Columbia-qualified lawyer Ramiro Rodriguez. Duane Morris & Selvam managing director Arfat Selvam said: “As home to one of the busiest ports in the world, Singapore acts as a crucial hub, allowing Asia access to overseas markets. Our firm is now well-equipped to serve that busy and growing sector”.
