Kasowitz Benson to launch corporate real estate practice after Skadden hires
Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman is set to launch a corporate real estate practice, after the hire two real estate partners from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. The new partners are Wallace Schwartz - the former head of Skadden's global real estate practice - and real estate partner Adam Endick. The firm also intends to hire four or five associates for the new practice in the coming weeks. Co-founding partner Marc Kasowitz says the firm decided to branch out from its specialization in litigation work after a number of clients asked the firm whether it could provide transactional advice.
