105 staff and lawyers leave Singapore firm KhattarWong to launch new firm

Singapore-based firm KhattarWong has lost around 105 staff and lawyers in a mass departure led by managing partner Tan Chong Huat. The departing group – which includes seven equity partners and 17 salary partners – will start a new firm under the name RHT Law. The name RHT is composed of the initials of senior partner Rajah Menon, senior partner Hee Theng Fong and managing partner and head of corporate & securities Tan Chong Huat. Meanwhile KhattarWong is recruiting lawyers to rebuild its intellectual property & technology and corporate & securities groups.
