Seattle firm Foster Pepper raids rival for 6 lawyers
Seattle law firm Foster Pepper has given its intellectual property practice a significant boost with the hire of six lawyers from boutique firm Black Lowe & Graham: co-founder Richard Black made the move along with Joel Ard, P.G. Scott Born, Douglas Grady, Richard Koske and Richard Vershave. Robert Kunold, chair of Foster Pepper's executive committee said: "We've been interested in growing our IP practice for quite some time, particularly when we learned about this opportunity because of these attorneys' reputations." BLG managing partner David Lowe said the firm's name has changed, effective Monday, to Lowe Graham Jones. After the departures the firm has been left with 11 attorneys and agents, and plans to hire more lawyers.
