Top UK firms increase revenue by 4%

The Lawyer has published a survey that shows total revenues from the UK’s top law firms increasing by four per cent to £14.27bn in 2010-11. This marks the first return to growth since 2008. Clifford Chance held its position as the top UK firm by revenue reporting three per cent growth to £1.2bn. The firm reported profits per equity partner of above £1.005m, up from last year’s £933,000. Meanwhile Slaughter and May maintains its spot as the highest paying firm, with profit per equity partner rising 0.5 per cent since last year to reach £1.9m. The highest earners in the equity partnership lockstep took home £2.1m last year.
