First-years associates to work in pro-bono at DLA Piper
DLA Piper is set to launch a new pro bono program, creating two full-time positions for first-year associates to work on pro bono cases. The program is called the DLA Piper/Krantz Fellowship Program after recently retired partner and pro bono advocate Sheldon Krantz. It will also allow DLA Piper to provide first-year associates hands-on training and case work without passing on the cost to clients, said Elizabeth Dewey, director of the firm’s global pro bono affiliate New Perimeter and a full-time pro bono partner.
