Greenberg Traurig hires top M&A partner from Cadwalader

Greenberg Traurig has lured leading mergers and acquisitions lawyer Dennis Block from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Block will chair the firm’s global M&A practice when he joins the firm next week. Block has a strong reputation after working on some of the largest ever deals, including Pfizer’s $68 billion acquisition of Wyeth and JPMorgan Chase’s purchase of Bear Stearns. “He will help move our team into the ranks of the foremost M.&A. practices,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, chief executive of Greenberg Traurig. “We envision an exciting time of growth and collaboration, in which Dennis will play a pivotal role.”
