Ashurst promotes 17; best female count so far

Ashurst’s promotions round sees corporate continue to be the most promoted practice despite the market downturn, with the group bagging six partners in this year’s round of appointments out of a total of 17. The promotions are split almost 50/50 between the firm’s City and overseas offices. Six of the 17, or 35 per cent, of the promotions are of female lawyers, marking a significant increase on last year’s 20.7 per cent.
