Irish firm A&L Goodbody set to launch in California

Irish firm A&L Goodbody is set to launch a new office in Palo Alto, California, relocating the firm’s IP and technology head John Whelan and tax partner Paul Fahy to head the new venture. A&L Goodbody joins rival Irish firms William Fry and Matheson Ormsby Prentice as the third Irish firm to set up shop in California. The firms are positioning themselves to handle work arising from the growing boom in technology investment into Ireland, which has attracted tech companies such as Google and Facebook to set up operations within the past few years.
