Four associates leave London office of Quinn Emanuel

Four litigation lawyers have departed from the London office of US litigation firm Quinn Emanuel, punching a largeish hole in the team of 13. The firm’s London has done very well since its launch in 2008, focussing on big ticket litigation and hauling profits per equity partner of a staggering £2.7m. Turnover for 2011 stood at £21.8m, up 75 per cent on the previous year. The firm did not seem to be troubled by the departures, pointing out that each of the departing associates left for reasons unconnected to the firm – to go to the bar, or move to the US, for example – and noted that the office was recruiting and aiming to expand.
