Profit at SNR Denton drops from £37.9m to £22.5m
SNR Denton dropped from £37.9 million to £22.5 million in 2010-11. Turnover in the same period fell from £166.1 million to £152.5 million. The firm explains the drop on low transactional activity last year.
Despite the tough figures, the firm’s estimated highest paid partner received slightly more than last year, taking home £755,000, up from £737,000 in 2009-10.
The average number of partners at the firm fell from 138 to 126 in 2010-11, while the number of fee-earners fell from 514 to 480 and support staff numbers dropped from 614 to 577. As a result, staff costs at the firm fell from £86m to £82.8m in 2010-11.
