Amarchand takes top rank among Indian firms working in project finance

Amarchand and Mangaldas has taken the top rank among Indian firms working in project finance, according to data provider Dealogic, edging out last year’s leader Luthra & Luthra. Luthra & Luthra came in second in the ranking, followed by SJ Law Advocates, Link Legal and Trilegal. The total pool of projects in 2011 numbered 186 projects, and the value of all deals was $793 billion. Amarchand’s piece of the pie was advising on 29 project financings worth over $160 billion, while Luthra’s 23 projects clocked in at $104 billion. SJ Law Advocates acted on 26 projects worth $102 billion.
