15.6% drop in number of applicants for US law schools

April 11, 2012 There has been a 15.6 per cent drop in the number of students applying for admission to US law schools this year, with the total pool of applicants numbering about 66,696.

The figures, released by the Law School Admission Council, show a continuing downward tend, with the number of law school applicants dropping by 24.1% over the past two years.

It seems that college applicants have absorbed the news about the difficult job market in the legal sector, and are making their decisions accordingly.
