Fennemore Craig aqcuires 23 lawyers from Nevada-based Jones Vargas

Fennemore Craig, a firm with bases in Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada has acquired a 23 lawyer team from Nevada-based firm Jones Vargas. Jones Vargas had been planning on a recruitment drive to replace a number of departing partners, but decided instead to link up with the larger firm. The Nevada branch of the firm will henceforth be known as Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas, with an eight-lawyer office in Reno and a 28-lawyer office in Vegas. Joseph W. Brown, who served as Jones Vargas president, said: "We have turned down a number of offers ... for many years and figured it was about time."
