Freshfields advises on $13.3 billion acquisition for China Telecom

August 29, 2012 Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised China Telecom Corporation on the purchase of 84.6 billion yuan ($13.3 billion) worth of 3G network infrastructure from its parent company, China Telecommunications Corporation.
  
The Freshfields team advised China Telecom on Hong Kong law with a team led by China chairman Teresa Ko and Beijing corporate partner Richard Wang. The company was advised on PRC law by local firm Jingtian & Gongcheng.
