Skadden hires former Chicago US Attorney

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has made a high profile hire, bringing former Chicago US attorney Patrick Fitzgerald on board as a partner in its Chicago office. The move is a boost for Skadden’s litigation practice, which already boasts a number of former federal prosecutors. David Zornow, Skadden's global head of litigation, said: "Pat Fitzgerald is a person of national stature and is going to be an obvious choice for clients dealing with complicated allegations of wrongdoing.…I expect that in short order, he'll be on everyone's shortlist of lawyers well-equipped to do internal investigations."
