Norton Rose to merge with Fulbright & Jaworski

November 19, 2012 Norton Rose has confirmed that it will merge with US firm Fulbright & Jaworski next year under the banner Norton Rose Fulbright, according to a report by RollOnFriday.

After mergers with firms in Canada and South Africa, Norton Rose has a hefty headcount of nearly 3000 lawyers. The planned merger will make a combined firm of 3,800 lawyers, which will put it in the top ten globally. Peter Martyr, Norton Rose's Chief Executive, said that it would be a "truly global pratice with significant depth of expertise in the world's principal business and financial centres".
