DLA Piper hires special counsel to boost Singapore office

November 21, 2012 DLA Piper continues its strategy of expansion in Southeast Asia with the hire of Erwin Purba in the firm’s Singapore office.

Purba joins the firm as a special counsel, leaving behind a role with media operator Astro. He has over 17 years of experience in Southeast Asia, with expertise in telecommunications, media and information technology and broadcasting. He also has transactional experience in the areas of foreign investment, joint ventures, and M&As, both in Indonesia and in the Asia-Pacific region.
"Indonesia is a critical part of our Southeast Asia strategy. Erwin's arrival provides a substantial boost to our Indonesia credentials as well as our regional TMT offering," said Matt Glynn, Singapore country managing partner and Asia head of intellectual property and technology of DLA Piper.
