S&C and Weil Gotshal follow Cravath bonus scale

December 8, 2012 Sullivan & Cromwell has announced year-end bonuses matching the scale offered by industry standard-setter Cravath, Swaine & Moore. S&C associates will take home the bonus a few days before Christmas, adding a further boost to their pay package after the spring bonuses of between $2,500 to $7,500.



Weil Gotshal and Manges also stuck to the Cravath scale, with newly qualified associates receiving a prorated bonus for the time since qualification.


The Cravath scale for bonuses is as follows:


Class of 2012 — $10,000 (prorated)

Class of 2011 — $10,000

Class of 2010 — $14,000

Class of 2009 — $20,000

Class of 2008 — $27,000

Class of 2007 — $34,000

Class of 2006 — $40,000

Class of 2005 — $50,000

Class of 2004 — $60,000
