MMS hires Dundas' head of pensions

December 15, 2012 Maclay Murray & Spens has scooped up Dundas & Wilson’s head of pensions to lead its own UK pensions law team.

David Knox is set to join Maclays on 1 January, and will split his time between London and Edinburgh. The move brings to an end a seven year stint as head of Dundas’s pensions practice.

MMS chief executive Chris Smylie said: “David Knox brings considerable expertise and insight and we are delighted to have him on board. As the regulatory and governance challenges of clients’ pension schemes become increasingly complex, we are in a strong position to develop further our existing reach in this area.

"David has a proven track record in building a highly successful pensions practice, which offers an excellent fit with MMS’ focus on profitable and sustainable growth. This clear strategic vision is enabling us to build a financially strong firm, attractive to lateral partner hires."
