Growing role for Chinese law firms in Asia-Pacific

January 8, 2013 Nine of the top 20 firms by headcount in Asia are Chinese, according to the annual survey published by Asian Lawyer.

The firm with the largest number of lawyers working in the region is Chinese firm Dacheng Law Offices, with a headcount of more than 2,000 lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region. Baker & McKenzie is the largest firm operating in the region, but it’s contingent of 1,050 lawyers working in Asia-Pacific offices puts it in fourth place.

Second place is held by Chinese outfit Yinghe Law Firm with nearly 1,600 lawyers, and Zhong Yin Law Firm comes in third with nearly 1,200 lawyers.
