Ashurst hires veteran competition lawyer in Rome

January 23, 2013 Ashurst has boosted its Italian competition practice with the hire of veteran lawyer Denis Fosselard in Rome.

Fosselard joins Ashurst as a partner, leaving behind a role as head of the antitrust practice at Italian firm Legance. He was previously a partner at Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners, and before that at Brussels firm Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick.

Fosselard is qualified in both Brussels and Italy, representing clients before both the European Commission, the Italian Competition Authority, and the European and Italian courts.

Ashurst competition head Nigel Parr said: “Denis is a highly regarded practitioner who has expertise across a broad range of competition matters advising leading European corporates. We are confident that he will make a significant contribution to our European practice.”
