Eversheds set to axe up to 166 jobs
Eversheds has announced a global redundancy round, with 166 jobs at risk across the firm’s network. Those made redundant will be offered an enhanced financial package.
Around half of the layoffs will be in legal support roles and half will be fee-earners, including some partners. The firm is shutting down its entire Copenhagen office, which accounts for 30 jobs, though the group may yet be scooped up by another firm.
Bryan Hughes, Eversheds' Chief Executive, said: "some markets in which we operate have undergone fundamental change rendering our current structure unsustainable". He also said that as many staff as possible would be redeployed.
