Pekeng law school appoints McConnaughay as dean

February 1, 2013 The Peking University School of Transnational Law in Shenzhen - a US-style intitution that teaches both US and Chinese law - has appointed Philip McConnaughay to the role of Dean.

McConnaughay takes over from former University of Michigan Law School dean and former Cornell University President Jeffrey Lehman, who has guided the school since its founding in 2007.

"Dean McConnaughay has been a leader in transnational legal practice and international arbitration," said university president Rodney Erickson. "This rare opportunity for him to influence legal education on a global scale certainly speaks volumes about his expertise and skills."
