Clyde & Co begins redundancy consultation
Clyde & Co staff are risk of losing their jobs following a review of the firm’s business services departments.
The consultation will primarily affect the firm’s London office, and is intended to trim the business services departments following the merger with Barlow Lyde & Gilbert in November 2011, though the firm says that it hopes to redeploy affected staff to other areas of the business.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the firm said: “We’ve had the opportunity to review business services departments following the merger to ensure alignment with the business.
“We’ve made and are making a number of changes and would hope these can be achieved without redundancies. We’ve no plans for a collective consultation and continue to look for talent in law firm management, particularly around our growth internationally.”
