Linklaters increases grants for LPC and GDL students
Linklaters UK has increased the amount paid to students undertaking the Legal Practice Course and the Graduate Diploma in Law.
Students with training contract offers from the firm that are studying the GDL outside of London will receive £7k, up from the previous grant amount of £6k, while the firm’s students in London will take home £8k, up from £7k. Linklaters' future LPC students will also see more money, with grants rising 40 per cent from £5k to £7k.
The increases makes Linklaters’ grant scheme the most generous among Magic Circle firms, though there are more generous schemes outside the Magic Circle, with Jones Day giving both GDL and LPC students £8k.
The firm's graduate recruitment partner Simon Branigan said: "We want to attract the best people, no matter what their background...we are aware that many of our future trainees cannot rely on financial support from their families and we are keen to support them".
