Reports say 99 jobs at risk at DWF
Roll On Friday says that 99 employees may be at risk of redundancy at DWF.
The report comes from an anonymous source, who says that the firm has launched a consultation process putting 99 support staff at risk of being laid off.
The move is perhaps unsurprising in light of the firm’s recent growth spurt; DWF has acquired five firms in less than a year.
Roll On Friday makes the point that a consultation involving 99 staff would come in just under the threshold of 100, below which the firm may limit the consultation period to 30 days. When 100 or more employees are involved, a firm is obliged to conduct a 90 day consultation, meaning that the affected staff would be entitled to pay for the extra 60 days.
