Japanese firm Anderson Mori grows in SE Asia
Anderson Mori & Tomotsune is set to add three new offices: in Singapore, Shanghai and Nagoya. The move adds capacity in South East Asia, building on the firm’s existing presence in Tokyo and Beijing.
The Singapore office will service clients that have established regional headquarters in Singapore, and will be led by banking and finance partner Ko Hanamizu, who will relocate from Tokyo along with an M&A associate.
The Shanghai office will accommodate increased client demand for advice on inbound and outbound Japan-China matters. The new base will be led by corporate partner Akira Moriwaki, and the firm will have a total of nine lawyers and two partners across Beijing and Shanghai.
And the office in Nagoya, referred to as the “manufacturing heartland of Japan” will focus on Outbound investment in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
