Baker & McKenzie aims to increase female partners

May 4, 2013 Baker & McKenzie is tinkering with its promotion model in an attempt to increase female leadership in the firm and up the numbers of female partners.

The plan is for Bakers to increase the proportion of its female partners from 15 per cent to 30 per cent.

The firm intends to ease the way for working mothers by putting less emphasis on billable hours, to provide flexible working arrangements and to recognise contributions to the firm that can’t be measured in monetary terms.
