Who's the next GC at Barclays Bank?

May 11, 2013 The contest for the role of Legal Chief at Barclays Bank is thought to have two serious contenders: deputy general counsel Michael Shaw and the firm’s global general counsel for corporate and investment banking, Judith Shepherd.

Rumour has it that Shaw is leading the race to replace outgoing legal chief Mark Harding, but no one knows for sure until the appointment is made in the next few months.

Harding’s resignation comes after a ten year tenure at Barclays. In March he cashed in a share bonus worth £3.6m out of a total share award of £3.77m.
