SJ Berwin and KWM set to vote on merger
SJ Berwin and Asia-Pacific firm King & Wood Mallesons are set to vote on a global merger in the coming months.
The deal, which has been negotiated over the past year, would see SJ Berwin lose it’s name to come under the banner of King & Wood Mallesons. SJ Berwin would become one of four partnerships under KWM’s Swiss Verein, which already has financially independent arms in China, Hong Kong and Australia.
If the merger plan is approved by SJ Berwin and all three arms of KWM’s verein, the merger could go live as early as 1 July.
