Remfry & Sagar IP and corporate head launches new firm

May 20, 2013 The head of intellectual property litigation and corporate commercial law at Indian firm Remfry & Sagar has left the firm to launch a new Delhi boutique called Groverlaw.

Vikram Grover started his legal career with Remfry in 1998 and was made up to partner in 2005. He is qualified to practice in India, England and Wales.

Grover says that there will be demand for new independent legal services, saying: “I think clients also want, sort of, a change. I’m sure they also have cost pressures, they are also willing to try out newer outfits, so there will be space [for newer IP boutiques], not to say that the bigger firms will not continue to do well,” he commented.

Remfry & Sagar managing partner Ashwin Julka commented: “People have their own aspirations. [Grover] wanted to start his own [firm] and we wish him all the best. He has been a part of the firm for a long time and the grounding he got here would serve him well.”
